During the exhibition, teacher Wu Zhengzhang mentioned that although he lives in central China, The theme of this shooting is also in Taichung. Through the teacher’s rice fields and tin factories, the pastoral scenery with deliberately limited viewing frames, the quiet exhibition room, and the beautiful visual feast are Many musings and echoes.

The Taiwan "Beauty" series uses a unique way of lighting to create faceless selfies to present the contradictions and absurd situations accumulated in Taiwan's social environment due to the evolution of politics, economy and culture, and the habit of "turning a blind eye". These scenes with "Taiwanese characteristics" in the video provide the viewer with a series of inner thoughts and struggles between "beautiful" and "unbeautiful".

Taiwan started out as a farmer, but due to globalization and social changes, industry and technology have replaced agriculture in importance to Taiwan. The magnificent pastoral scene is disappearing. The demand for industry and technology has increased greatly, and farmland is being eroded by iron-clad factories. , there are no longer just simple crops in the countryside.

"Taiwan's "Beauty"—Pastoral Scenery" View the current farmland scene on the west coast of Taiwan through a limited viewing frame. Both agriculture and industry originate from the needs of residents. We are all demanders to varying degrees, and we are also participants in the "idyllic scenery" of Taiwan's west coast. The rice fields and iron factories in front of us present Taiwan's alternative characteristics and beauty in form, and at the same time, It troubles us about the balance between the two.

The author of this article, Weisi Image

Weisi Imaging was established in 2016 and specializes in ChromaLuxe metal photo production.

The person in charge of Weisi Imaging studied photography in Vancouver, Canada from 2011 to 2014. He was an artist-in-residence and also held photography solo exhibitions. Because I was amazed by the visual effects of ChromaLuxe metal prints, I decided to focus on the research and production of metal photos.

Weiss Imaging not only prints high-quality metal photos, but is also the first printing center in Taiwan to assist artists in producing metal photos. Many of the artist's works have been collected by Taiwan's Art Bank.
