Contemporary photography artist Wu Zhengzhang’s latest series of works, "Pastoral Scenery Series Component 1", has now been updated to the Art Bank website.
"Pastoral Scenery" is a creative series extended from "Taiwan "Scenery"".
In this series of works, Wu captured beautiful moments in rice fields and tin factories, and created a quiet and contemplative atmosphere by deliberately limiting the visual frame. These works not only bring visual feast to the viewers, but also trigger deep inner thoughts and echoes.
It is worth mentioning that Teacher Wu Zhengzhang’s latest series of works uses our ChromaLuxe metal printing technology, showing unprecedented colors and textures!

Appreciation of works
Artist Wu Zhengzhang's "Pastoral Scenery Series" is inspired by the scenes he saw while commuting between Taichung and Changhua. Agricultural land on Taiwan's west coast is often close to industrial land, and tin houses are often next to green rice fields. With the rise of industry and technology, agricultural land is constantly being eroded, and people seem to be getting used to it. He divided the picture into two, retaining only the two elements of farmland and iron sheet. The flat image presents the characteristic scenery of western farmland, and also allows the viewer's vision to focus on the balance between "industrial development" and "agricultural preservation" , reflecting on the entanglement between industry and agriculture. In the field of photography, the visible and invisible parts may not reflect the entire reality. The deliberately narrowed visible range is not only a limitation, but it may also be a new creative opportunity, just like the "idyllic scenery" redefined in this piece.
