Co-curated by Bai Shiming, Director of the Department of Fine Arts, National Taiwan Normal University, and Professor Liu Chenxiu, Institute of Applied Arts, National Yang Mingtong University, "In the Name of Mountain: Contemporary Landscape Interlaced by Art and Technology" will be held in Mingshan this Saturday Art Taipei Pavilion debuts. Presenting nine artists across multiple fields to interpret contemporary landscapes with traditional digital technology media techniques. The exhibition will hold an opening tea party and symposium at 3:00 pm on 6/18 (Sunday). We sincerely invite you to come and give us advice!
This curator uses "mountain" as the original symbol of nature, and involves various environmental factors related to it, such as clouds, water, trees, stones, etc., through the fables and metaphors that human history and nature are closely intertwined, discussing texts on paper or The illusion of mountains and rivers in scientific and technological images contrasts with the legends of the end of the world, the ideal of residence on which society depends, or the disintegration of the utopian spirit.
Whether it is an allegory, imagination, or a symbolic vocabulary of virtual situations, "Shanshui" is a synonym for escaping from reality, a metaphor for the status quo, and looking forward to the future. Through this exhibition, artists are in constant dialogue with traditional brush and ink or high-tech auxiliary tools Under the resonance of interlacing with the problem, we will re-criticize and reflect on contemporary nature protection issues, so as to establish a contemporary visual image and action strategy with more humanistic depth. At the same time, it is used to explore the multiple understandings and reconstructions of human beings' awareness of landscapes, landscapes, landscapes, or landscapes in the context of contemporary environmental changes, highlighting the tension and conflict between ideal habitats and ecological balance.

Claire Chao (Wei Sze Jie Jie) Founder of Wei Sze Photography | Visual Artist
Wei Sze Photography was founded in 2016, focusing on ChromaLuxe premium metal print craftsmanship. Drawing on an aesthetic foundation from photography studies in Vancouver, Claire merges artistic sensibility with artisan techniques. Her commissioned works have been acquired multiple times by the Art Bank collection. In Taiwan's humid climate, she is dedicated to creating "fadeless companionship" for your precious memories.
