The first time I met J was in our park. She is a textile artist from the United States who is currently residing in the village of "National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Center" in Caotun. J is very assertive, very polite, and speaks Chinese very well! She expects to print 20-40 small-sized metal prints. After reading our samples, she learned that in addition to the white aluminum plate, we actually have a transparent bottom (silver aluminum pattern) aluminum plate that has not been released to the public. Friends who are paying attention to us should be familiar with it. We do not make small-sized works, and the aluminum plate is uniformly rounded, and there are only two surface materials. It's not that we really can't do it, but it's very labor-intensive to make special specifications and small-sized works. Although everyone likes small and beautiful works, they generally can't accept small and expensive prices, so we don't provide these special specifications.
J is very different. She told us seriously that the price is of course based on the difficulty of production, not necessarily the size; the reason why she chooses the small size is based on the needs of the exhibition, not the price. Of course, the price still depends Drop within her ability!
In this way, we began a series of explorations. Through different trial printing and screening, J determined the parameters of the metal printing step by step! Today, we finally went to J's studio with these works that were completed after the New Year's Eve, unpacked, reviewed, and commented on the final printed results. As we expected, although most of them are amazing, some are not OK ... We were worried that J would not be very happy with the few works that were not as expected...
